Sheldon C. Allen is the UPS Director of Sales responsible for the Northern Virginia, Washington DC, Maryland and Delaware areas. This highly visible role requires an individual that gets things done through collaborations, partnerships, and relationships—as a staff manager in the Transportation industry, this is what it is all about. Sheldon’s team consists of 76 managers, supervisors and industry specialist.

Mr. Allen received a Bachelors Degree in Business Management from Mercer University. He began his UPS career in 1982 as a part-time tractor trailer unloader in Macon, Georgia. Through hard work and dedication, Mr. Allen worked his way up through the UPS organization. Throughout his career in the Business Development Department, he has held many titles at the District, Region and Corporate levels. Job titles have included Account Executive, Area Sales Manager, Sales Support Manager and Director of Strategic Accounts, to name a view. In 2001, Mr. Allen was promoted to eCommerce Director of Sales where he was responsible for the training of over 2,500 sales people on UPS Technology Solutions and leading the newly formed eCommerce Sales team for the Southeast and East Central Regions.

In addition to his dedication and commitment to UPS and his job responsibilities there, Mr. Allen is a devoted husband, father and community leader. He and his wife of 23 years reside in Washington, D.C. with their 3 children. In his spare time Mr. Allen enjoys playing golf, reading and spending time with family and friends.
