Peter M. Black is a senior vice president and senior regional president of M&T Bank’s Greater Washington Region.
Peter began his career at the bank in 1976 at a predecessor to M&T, First National Bank of Maryland (later Allfirst) as a Commercial Banker and Senior Loan Executive and has been president of the Greater Washington region since 1997. His responsibilities cover Middle Market and Large Corporate, with indirect responsibilities for overall activities for the bank in Greater Washington.
He is currently on the Board of Directors for the Fairfax County Chamber, YMCA National Capital area, Montgomery County Community Foundation and the Maryland High Tech Council. He is also a member of the Investment Advisory Committee – New Market Growth Fund.
Peter holds a BA in Economics from the College of Holy Cross in Washington, D.C. and an MBA in Finance and Investments from George Washington University, also in Washington, D.C.
He and his family reside in Rockville, Maryland.
