John Cunningham is the Vice President and General Manager of the Service Assurance Division for Spirent Communications. John's background includes a five-year tenure at AT&T Network Systems, and increasing levels of responsibility in the Client and Professional Services organizations at Hekimian/Spirent. Prior to his appointment as Vice President and General Manager, John most recently served as Spirent's Vice President of Global Services where he was responsible for customer technical support and service to over 50 telecommunication carriers around the world.

John is a versatile, results-driven executive. He is a proven leader who has the ability to motivate employees and build loyalty and morale through training, education and team-building initiatives. John leads through example and is highly-respected by his subordinates, peers and the entire executive management team at Spirent.

John has actively participated in multiple Junior Achievement activities during his years at Spirent, including Hall of Fame Dinners, Bowl-a-Thons, Job-Shadowing, etc. Additionally, he personally orchestrated Spirent's JA-in-a-Day program at Patterson Elementary School in May 2009, bringing together a team of 35 volunteers to teach JA's curriculum to approximately 400 students. John has also been involved with community outreach literacy programs, and fully supports the principle of providing positive role models for our youth.

John received his Bachelors of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Union College, and a Masters of Business Administration from Pace University where he was a member of the Delta Mu Delta National Honor Society for Business Administration. John is an accomplished tennis player and resides with his wife and three daughters in Vienna, Virginia.
