Arthur E. (Bud) Morrissette, IV, a native of Washington, DC, serves as Executive Vice President for the Interstate Service Group of companies, with worldwide headquarters in Springfield, VA.

Bud Morrissette, a native of Washington, DC, serves as President for Interstate Relocation Services and Interstate International, which are part of the Interstate Service Group of companies, with worldwide headquarters in Springfield, VA.

He began working for the company that his grandfather (Arthur Sr.) founded in 1943, while still in High School at the age of 16. Thereafter he learned the moving - storage - transportation – relocation business from the ground up, mentored by his father Buddy, two uncles; Don and Kenneth, and along side his brother J.D. His operations experience in his early years as a warehouseman, local mover, long distance driver and dispatcher, as well as subsequent department assignments and duties in Safety & Compliance, Human Resources, Customer Service, Advertising/Marketing, and Sales have provided him a far reaching knowledge base in all aspects of the industry.

In 1989, Bud was initially promoted to Vice President and gained the responsibility for domestic Sales and Marketing. Thereafter in 1997 as Sr. Vice President he was placed in charge of all corporate development and communications. In 2000, he was appointed to Executive Vice President / Chief Operating Officer with responsibilities encompassing the companies’ five (5) individual operating units. In 2007 he was appointed President of the Relocation Management, International and Supply Chain Logistics operating units.

During Bud’s tenure, the company has been recognized for numerous accomplishments including; ISO – 9002 certification, recipient of the National Capital Business Ethics Award, Four -time winner of the U.S. Department of Defense’s prestigious MTMC Quality Award for customer satisfaction, Highest average Customer Satisfaction Index as recognized by the U.S. General Services Administration; the only six year recipient of the AMSA award for Fleet Safety Initiatives, as well as the beneficiary of the Quality First - Blue Diamond Award for Excellence.

A graduate of Lake Braddock Secondary School in Fairfax County, VA, he continued his studies in Business Administration at Northern Virginia Community College and George Mason University. He resides in Oakton, VA. He has 3 children; Arthur V (Rett), Virginia (Ginger) and Allen.

Bud’s activities extend to the civic community as well. He was named Citizen of the Year by the Times Community Newspapers; has received the Herb Hunter Citizen of the Year award by the Greater Springfield Chamber of Commerce, and named a Paul Harris Fellow by Rotary International. Bud has and continues to serve in various membership, advisory and board of director capacities including the Fairfax County Chamber of Commerce, Fairfax Symphony Orchestra, George Mason University Patriot Club, to name a few.

In his spare time Bud enjoys coaching youth sports, golfing, tennis, and water-skiing. On a sunny summer weekend evening, he can also be seen cruising Northern Virginia’s roadways to a local drive-in, in his shiny black – chopped top, 1929 Model A Ford street rod or 2006 Harley Davidson Softail!
