Mr. Roddy is adept at shaping long-range business vision and direction for organizations using his exceptional skills in strategic planning, business modeling, and financial analysis. He is experienced in building top-performing financial and operational teams and is accustomed to complex structures for manufacturing facilities, contracting/service groups, offshore operations, and joint ventures. Mr. Roddy has worked with and is knowledgeable of the SEC, Sarbanes-Oxley, GAAP, and Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) filing requirements. Sean has developed excellent communication and presentation skills; working with a variety of financial institutions, private and Wall Street investors, and global business partners. He has structured, negotiated, and executed multiple mergers, acquisitions and divestitures, venture capital transactions, turnarounds, joint ventures, and global partnerships. He is an MBA, CMA, and CPA with Big 4 experience.
Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Roddy was the Chief Financial Officer for the 16th fastest growing company in the U.S. per Entrepreneur Magazine. The company was a chemical and biological safety corporation where his responsibilities included assisting the company with its IPO, external and DCAA audits, tax preparation, Sarbanes-Oxley compliance, strategic planning, financial leadership, SEC compliance, S1 drafting, corporate development, and acquisition strategies. Mr. Roddy also managed all Accounting, Finance, IT, Administration, Contracts, Proposals, and M&A functions for the organization.
Prior to joining Watkins Meegan, Sean served as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) for an affiliate of a $26-billion dollar fortune 100. In that role, he helped open offices in six countries on three continents, managed contracts in 36 countries on six continents, raised in excess of $225-million through Private Placement Memorandums, led the M&A and divestiture activity for the company and was actively involved with all joint venture negotiations with foreign partners.
