Junior Achievement of
Greater Washington
Across Greater Washington, students of all ages are once again heading back to school. This academic year, Junior Achievement will empower more than 52,000 young people to own their economic success.

JA will accomplish this by partnering with over 1,400 educators and 3,200 volunteers to teach financial literacy, work readiness, and entrepreneurship skills to youth in kindergarten through twelfth grade.

We invite our veteran volunteers to return to their classrooms this fall, and encourage prospective volunteers to join a school seeking their mentorship.

We invite the business community to join us in a celebration of entrepreneurial success at the Washington Business Hall of Fame on Tuesday, November 29.

And we invite all members of the public – parents, neighbors, community leaders, and all who believe in the value of financial literacy education – to support our youth by making a small donation.

As always, your support makes our work possible.

Thank you.

As part of Career Partnership Day businesses will invite students to shadow employees, enabling them to see first-hand the connection between learning and earning, and answering the age-old question, "Why do I have to learn this?"
