I want to talk to you about Junior Achievement. Last year, JA provided its innovative, hands-on financial literacy, work readiness, and entrepreneurship programs to nearly 65,000 young people in Greater Washington through more than 654,000 instructional hours. You can learn more about their work at www.myJA.org.
JA believes that together, they can inspire an entire generation to be financially capable and tenacious, equipped with 21st century skills to think outside the box, manage risk effectively, and welcome opportunity in a complex modern economy. In short, Junior Achievement of Greater Washington inspires the next generation to navigate their path to their own American Dream.
This is not only the mission of JA, it’s a movement—a movement to ensure our children are better off than the generations who came before them; to inspire every kid, no matter where they came from, to figure out where they are going.
There’s no more important a movement in America. But we’ve got some work to do to make sure that this is a movement that takes hold in our region.
Today, I am asking you for your help.
I am taking part in my company’s Junior Achievement Bowl-a-Thon to raise money to support JA’s programs, so that this year, they can reach more students and help guide our youngest Washingtonians one step closer to their futures. Will you make a tax deductible donation to help me in my efforts?
You can also contact me directly to donate via check. This is an investment in our kids—and in our collective success as a community. Let’s take a stand for the boundless potential of every young person. I couldn’t do this without you.
