Superintendents' Perspective
"Junior Achievement programs are proven, valuable
resources for teaching our students entrepreneurial
skills and preparing them for an increasingly
competitive workplace. Junior Achievement programs
support standards of learning, can be integrated
into curricula, and give students an opportunity for
practical applications of business and economic
concepts. As Superintendents, we strongly endorse
Junior Achievement and the educationally sound,
professionally delivered, and relevant programs
that Junior Achievement provides."

Educators' Testimonials
"Junior Achievement has provided a phenomenal learning experience and opportunity for the
George C. Marshall High School finance students and Future Business Leaders of America
(FBLA) members. The JA Success Skills program exposed the students to a variety of
interview techniques, taught them how to create and maintain their own personal
portfolio, and enhanced their interpersonal skills through group projects. The JA
volunteer was great and the students were very receptive to the program and
curriculum. Our FBLA members became JA volunteers and educated second graders
using the JA Our Community program teaching them about business and economic
concepts. This partnership allowed the younger generation to have high schools
students as mentors, encouraging them to follow in their footsteps. JA provided
us with an excellent curriculum and made it easy to impact students."

"JA Global Marketplace does an excellent job in applying the concepts and vocabulary
learned in our Renaissance unit to the modern world. Students are given opportunities
to see how reliant the different nations of the world are on each others' goods and
services and how this affects their everyday lives. I see a lot of 'light bulbs'
going on in my classroom, when students are able to make connections. My students
have a lot of fun with the hands-on practice. It also gives them an opportunity to
share their own personal experiences and learn from one another. There's a heavy
cultural component to this unit as well, which they really enjoy."

"Junior Achievement has provided opportunities for my students to work with and
learn from our community's human resources. The students have been greatly impacted
by the community stakeholders who have shown they truly care about children. Thank
you, JA, for the quality support that you have continuously given to me and my students."

"We have been using the Junior Achievement program for several years here at Forest
Edge. This program is very beneficial to our students. The students love to meet people
from the community and participate in fun lessons that go along with the Virginia SOLs.
Having a different 'teacher' in the room is a treat for students too! The Junior Achievement
program is fabulous and I have received a ton of positive responses from our staff.
Thank you for running such a fantastic program for our children."

"The students really benefit from having the Junior Achievement program and volunteer
in the classroom. It's easier for the students to learn when they are taught in an
interactive way that allows them to participate in the process through experiential
learning. The program is very worthwhile."
