Information for Volunteers
Volunteers are an integral part of the students' Junior Achievement Finance Park experience. Volunteers will spend five hours at Junior Achievement Finance Park: one hour training and four hours volunteering. Volunteers help students through the budgeting process by sharing their own life experiences, and also monitor the students to ensure their continued progress throughout the day. School teachers and JA staff members will always be on hand to assist as needed.
Junior Achievement Finance Park needs at least 20 adult role models each day students visit the facility. Volunteers help students with their budgeting process by sharing their personal experiences.

If I've volunteered at the Junior Achievement/Capital One Mobile Finance Park, do I need to attend the morning training session?
Yes, you will need to attend a training session at Junior Achievement Finance Park as there are a few differences in the simulation and your responsibilities.
I had a great day at Junior Achievement Finance Park and I would like to return. Do I have to attend training again?
No, you do not need to attend the morning training session. However, we do ask that you arrive at least 15 minutes before the students are scheduled to arrive. Please complete a volunteer application to register again.

How do I know what time my day starts and ends?
Please review the school schedule for information about your specific volunteer day. Volunteer training will begin one hour before the school is scheduled to arrive.
What should I wear?
Volunteers should wear business casual clothes and comfortable shoes.

We recommend you bring a snack or light lunch. There will be a 20 minute lunch period for students and volunteers.
