Junior Achievement Finance Park is a partnership between Junior Achievement and Fairfax County Public Schools (FCPS). Middle school mathematics and civics teachers recruit parent volunteers to assist the students during their Finance Park experience. Teachers will provide parent volunteers with the date and time of their child's Finance Park day. As a Finance Park volunteer, you will be responsible for assisting the students throughout their budgeting simulation.
All parent volunteers need to complete a volunteer application, and training is required to volunteer at Finance Park. You can attend a training session on the morning of your child's visit, or you can register to attend an evening training. Training sessions are one hour long, and you will need to arrive at Junior Achievement Finance Park one hour before the student day begins. If you have already been through a training session, you will need to arrive at least fifteen minutes prior to the students.
Please view the school schedule to see when your child's school is visiting Junior Achievement Finance Park. If you would like to volunteer but have not heard from your child's mathematics or civics teacher, please reach out to them to indicate your interest in participating.
