B. Francis Saul is an active philanthropist whose service and leadership have not only benefited our Catholic
educational system but countless greater Washington area and national organizations. Together with his wife Tricia, the
Saul's have gathered generous support for the Inner-City Consortium for Catholic schools in Washington, DC.
Mr. Saul is the CEO and founder of Chevy Chase Bank, FSB; the Chairman and President of B.F. Saul Company, as well as
B.F. Saul Real Estate Investment Trust. He is a graduate of Georgetown Preparatory School, Villanova University and the
University of Virginia Law School. He is a member of the Knights of Malta and the Cork University Foundation, as well as
numerous other educational initiatives.
Mr. Saul also plays critical roles in serving on the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts Honors Committee,
as a trustee of the National Geographic Society, Trustee Council member of the National Gallery of Art, a trustee of the
Johns Hopkins Medicine Board and a member of the Archdiocese of Washington Finance Council. Mr. Saul was a member of the
International College of Auditors of the Prefecture for the Economic Affairs of the Holy See in Rome from 1998 until 2003
when he was awarded the Knight Commander in the Order of Saint Gregory.
Frank and his wife, Tricia, were named recipients of the 2001 NCEA Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton Award in recognition of
their leadership and generosity in the field of education and received the 2004 Catholic Charities’ Voice of Hope Award.
