Gloria Bohan founded Omega World Travel in Fredericksburg, Virginia in 1972 and since that time transformed her one person office into a travel agency with sales revenues in excess of $1 billion a year, approximately 200 company-owned offices, and more than 1,000 employees worldwide. Omega is ranked the second largest privately-owned travel agency in the United States by Business Travel News (June, 2008) and is on Travel Weekly’s 2008 Power List of the top U.S. travel agencies. Omega is the largest travel agency founded by, operated by and, majority-owned by a woman.
