Gracia C. Martore

Gracia Martore is the retired president and chief executive officer of TEGNA Inc., formerly known as Gannett Co., Inc. Martore was a driving force in growing the nation’s largest local media company and led the separation of Gannett into two publicly traded companies in 2015. On September 7, 2016, TEGNA announced it would spin-off Cars.com into a publicly traded company and Martore would retire as president and CEO upon the closing of the spin-off.
Martore joined Gannett in 1985 as assistant treasurer. She held numerous positions in the Treasury group before rising to executive vice president and CFO. In 2010, she was named president and chief operating officer. One year later, she was named president and CEO. Prior to joining Gannett, she worked for in the banking industry.
Martore serves on the board of directors of TEGNA Inc. as well as several other organizations. She is a graduate of Wellesley College.
