"When I went through the Finance Park pilot program last year, I realized how complicated being an adult would be! After six weeks of training, I became an adult for a day and learned that managing finances can be tough! There are so many things I take for granted - entertainment, food, cell phones - all of them have to come out of the budget! And that's just the beginning.

I thank Junior Achievement for instilling in me, and thousands of other students, the tools we need to be prepared for the competitive world in front of us. Because of your commitment, we have every reason to be excited. Junior Achievement has helped me feel prepared to overcome the challenges ahead and reach my financial goals."

"Through my experience being a part of the (JA Company Program) Bengal Café I have learned to work with my peers as well as establish long lasting contacts and friendships. I have experience that will allow me to be successful in my chosen career path of business marketing. I truly believe that if you have a mindset of success, a simple idea can turn into even more than you expected. It was so interesting for me seeing the business go through all of the stages of maturity and growth, things we read in the textbook but I never got to see for myself until the Bengal Café."

"Not only have the hands-on programs helped me during this adventure, but the volunteers at the Finance Park have taught me how to make smart decisions when spending and saving my money... All that I have learned from it I will use towards my career and other necessities in my life, and I will assist others so they will be financially intelligent as well."

"For me, the greatest reward and challenge was learning how to organize a large group of students and to keep them motivated and focused on our objectives. Satisfying the needs and demands of my co-workers, sponsoring advertisers, school faculty and consumer market required me to learn the fine art of tact and diplomacy. Although the JA Company Program required tremendous effort and oversight, it provided others and me with an extremely valuable and copious understanding of the business world. It gave me the confidence to believe that I might one day start my own business."

"Junior Achievement was a great learning experience. My volunteer taught me about the stock market and how it is related to everyday life, how to communicate with others, and the banking process."

"Our JA volunteer taught us about budgeting money and spending versus wasting. It's important to not waste your money, because you can run out and then you owe people money and have no way to pay and you can end up on the street. We also had practice job interviews so we will know what to say when we go on a real job interview."

"The JA volunteer who came to my classroom last year was really nice. We pretended that we owned a business. My group owned a donut business. My favorite part was advertising. The idea was to tell people that we had the best donuts."

"Junior Achievement was a fun part of my Social Studies class. We learned how natural and man-made resources are used by mankind, what we can do to preserve and protect our resources and how all the resources come together to operate a business."
