of JA volunteers would recommend their experience to colleagues and friends.

JA is a blast; it allows me to volunteer in the classroom and transfer my financial experiences to the students. The students ask many questions about the world of finance and how it impacts their everyday lives. I love answering their questions and giving examples of different financial situations that have impacted my life.
— Ryan Ham, Dixon Hughes Goodman LLP
This was the single most inspiring day that I have had in a decade. The children are wonderfully engaged in the JA program and the teachers were very supportive and appreciative. If I were asked to do this five or ten times a year I would do so.
— Clarke Havener, Korn/Ferry International
I volunteer for JA because education is one of the most important things to me. If a person is educated, they can be and do anything they want! Education liberates all of us and we should all take pride in educating the next generation and future leaders of our country!
— Saad Hasan, Accenture
I volunteer at JA because I really enjoy giving back to the next generation of soon-to-be young professionals. It is great to teach them about basic and advanced financial and entrepreneurial skills that they may not otherwise receive in the classroom, but will need in the real world. Although, everyone may not understand or pick up on every topic, it is a great way to expose them to many important ideas and to have them start thinking about financial matters at an earlier age than they might otherwise have done.
— Michael Bryan, CohnReznick
I really enjoyed the time that I volunteered at Junior Achievement (JA) Finance Park this week. I was privileged to also obtain additional volunteers from my company, Ascellon Corporation. The students that we interacted with were very enthusiastic and knowledgeable. Even with the large volume of information that they had to keep track of, they were able to effectively implement what they had learned. Also, the process was very interactive which is perfect for middle school aged children. Financial literacy is very important at any age, but starting as early as possible is a great benefit. I am pleased that I was able to participate in this way.
— Sheila Scott, Ascellon Corporation
Our mission here at FINRA is to provide investor protection and market integrity. In addition to regulating brokers we provide educational assistance for investors to protect themselves against financial fraud. Junior Achievement® has the perfect programs designed to teach children financial literacy in the classroom. Through JA our employees can volunteer at local schools by educating the younger generation to make smart financial decisions. Not only do FINRA employees find volunteering a rewarding experience, JA also aligns with our mission to educate and protect investors at any age.
— Ann Sullivan, FINRA

Our most recent visit to JA Finance Park was one in which left a huge mark on the kids that attended and also those of us that participated as volunteers. It was a very thorough program filled with an excellent balance of interaction, learning, and fun. We are honored at TD Ameritrade to participate in such a fantastic program and look forward to many more interaction with JA.
— Alexi Mavrellis, TD Ameritrade Branch Manager and JA Finance Park Volunteer Coordinator
I really enjoyed the opportunity to share my day with the youth of Junior Achievement at Finance Park. I wish this program would have been around when I was a youth. My own desire to learn about business is why I went on to get a BS degree in Business Management. I really do believe this program is excellent for our youth today. It exposes them to so many life decisions that are critical for their understanding of how the world really works. I am looking forward to sharing my time with Junior Achievement in the future.
— Chris Jones, Kettering Baptist Church
...Then you have the really inspiring ones that you know truly made an impact in their lives. “I feel sorry for my Mom that she has to do all of this.” After hearing something like that, it builds the simulation to a single moment of empathy for the parents and role models in the students’ lives that take care of them. It makes them appreciate the fact that raising and caring for someone can be financially challenging.
— James Luddy, Deloitte & Touche, LLP
I will never forget this amazing opportunity to work with our future leaders of tomorrow. As a William Wirt Alum, I could only wish I had a program like this 20 years ago. Our youth have the passion, energy and mental capacity to grasp the concepts of financial literacy. This program gives that vision a vehicle — one which is greatly needed.
— Julius A. Jeter, Ascellon Corporation
“Growing up in middle school and high school there were not many opportunities to learn about financial literacy, and if there was a program like this I would have thought more about credit and establishing credit. Understanding about financial literacy, it sets the structure for your future patterns on budgeting and savings. I would have established a savings plan sooner in life.”
— Ben Arnold, E*TRADE
