High School ReImagined

Where Rigor Meets the Real World

3DE by Junior Achievement reengineers the high school experience to better reflect the dynamic pace of activity and interconnectedness of life beyond the classroom walls. From school structure to curriculum design and teacher development, 3DE is a comprehensive model, grounded in authentic, project-based application through interdisciplinary case studies.

Piloted in Atlanta Georgia in 2015, this first-of-its-kind model launched at Ballou High School in the District and Potomac High School in Prince George’s County in Fall 2020, with plans to replicate in other schools across our region.

Junior Achievement’s proven high school model fully prepares today’s students for the demands of tomorrow’s economy.

The foundation

Partnerships generate profound transformation.

Partnerships generate profound transformation.

3DE is a launchpad for us. With case methodology, our students will learn real-world scenarios and hands-on learning. These are skills they will use after high school.
— Kevin Lovett, History Teacher, Ballou High School

[3DE] taught me that success is not solely based upon how many A’s and B’s you have. It’s the combination of individual drive, strategic thinking, and a compassionate understanding of community that lifts you to the places that you envision in your future.
— Jabari Courtney, 3DE Alumnus, Howard University Student

The model

3DE is a holistic model to reconstruct traditional high schools.

3DE is by far the best transformative instructional program for the 21st century learner. Now our students can see a future beyond what they could ever imagine before.
— Dr. Monica Goldson, CEO, Prince George's County Public Schools
